FUE vs. DHI: An Honest Guide

FUE

Follicular Unit Extraction

3-step, full shave

Individual follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a micro-punch tool. The grafts are stored in a solution, then implanted into pre-made incisions in the recipient area.

DHI

Direct Hair Implantation

2-step, partial shave option

Follicles are extracted the same way as FUE, but instead of creating channels first, a Choi implanter pen places grafts directly — combining steps 2 and 3 into one.
